Untuk meng menginstal komputer baru ataupun menginstal ulang Windows 2000/XP/2003 diperlukan cd windows yang bootable, kadang kala cd yang kita punya rusak dan tidak bootable dan tidak bisa start up dari cd room, untuk membuat CD bootable Windows 2000/XP/2003 dapat mengikuti langkah2 sbb:
item yang dibutuhkan :
- master program Windows 2000/XP/2003
- file boot (download di link bawah)
- program nero v. 6 keatas
- ruang kosong hardisk minimal 1GB
- Download boot file. (bootfiles-from-tacktech-website.zip ~1.34KB)
- buat folder dengan nama OS dgn subfolder BOOT dan ROOT
- extract boot file ke subfolder BOOT
- Copy kan master Windows 2000/XP/2003ke folder ROOT
jalan kan program nero burning room
pilih File > New... dari menu.
1.)Pilih CD-ROM (Boot).
2.) Pilih Image file dari sumber boot data image .
3.) Check Enable expert settings (for advanced users only!).
4.) Set Kind of emulation: ke No Emulation.
5.) Set Load segment of sectors (hex!): ke 0000.
6.) Set Number of loaded sectors: ke 4.
7.) Set Platform identifier: ke Intel x86 compatible.
8.) tekan tombol Browse.
pilih BootSector (boot.ima) pada folder C:\OS\BOOT.
tekan tombol Open.
pilih tombol ISO .
- Set File name length ke Max. of 31 chars (ISO Level 2).
- Set Format ke Mode 1.
- Set Character Set ke ISO 9660 (standard ISO CD-ROM).
- Check kotak Joliet .
- Check semua Relax ISO Restrictions.
- Check Allow more than 64 characters for Joliet names.
pilih tombol Label .
hilangkan check dari Also use the ISO 9660 text for Joliet.
masukan Volume Label ke kotak teksISO 9660 dan Joliet .
tekan tombol More fields.

masukan Volume Label dibawah kotak teks ISO 9660 dan Joliet
System Identifier, Volume Set, Publisher,Data preparer, Application
tekan tombol OK .
tekan tombol Burn
- Check Write.
- Check Finalize CD (No further writing possible!).
- Set Write Method keDisc-at-once.
- klik tombol New.
- cari lokasi C:\OS\ROOT.
- pilih semua file pada folder dan kopikan ke panael kompilasi ISO.
Catt: sebagian file tidak ditampilkan pada gambar petunjuk ini.
- klik tombol Write CD Dialog.
klik tombol Boot .
-periksa setingan. ubah jika diperlukan.
- klik tombol Burn .
Tunggu sampai pembutan cd selesai.
klik tombol OK .
Klik tombol Done .
proses selesai, anda mendapatkan cd bootable.
